When we first met him to finalize the adoption, we told him all about the wild places we planned to go—he responded by nearly jumping into our arms, ready to clock in for his first expedition!
Over the last four years, Lhotse has transformed from a worried boy into a seasoned UK explorer. He balances his time between conquering rugged trails and maintaining a majestic presence on the living room rug.
Here are a few of the milestones we’ve tackled together over the past 4 years:
The West Highland Way: Completed all 96 miles of hiking and wild camping through the Scottish Highlands.
The National Park Quest: We’ve explored 14 of the 15 UK National Parks, with the final one on the calendar for this year!
Peak Baggers: Successfully reached the highest summits in both North and South Wales.
Canicross Debut: Traded the hiking boots for running shoes to smash our first-ever 5km Canicross race, giving us a bug for trail running adventures!
Lhotse is proof that with the right spirit (and the right gear), no trail is too long and no mountain is too high. See you at the summit!
